WINTER PARK, Fla. – Four people were injured after a multiple vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on Interstate 4 in Winter Park, the Orange County Fire Department said.

The accident that happened at 1:38 p.m. closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 4 at mile marker 88 between Maitland Boulevard and Lee Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Orange County Fire Rescue said two people were taken to a hospital in critical condition the other two people were transported with injuries.

One person was entrapped and had to be extricated, officials said.

Interstate 4 at mile marker 88 was expected to be shut down for four to five hours. All lanes were reopened after 6 p.m. Saturday.
