Ocala drive-by shooting victim dies

Officers say two shooting incidents may be related

OCALA, Fla. – The victim of one of two shootings in Ocala on Monday has died from his injuries, according to police.

The man was shot Monday night after someone inside a car started shooting at the victim at a Family Dollar on 15th Avenue, Ocala police said.

Two people were brought into the hospital on Monday suffering from injuries after separate shootings.

While police were investigating the Family Dollar shooting, a second person showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound. The second victim is still recovering.

Ocala police said the two crimes could be connected.
