ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A fire broke out in the kitchen of a Walt Disney World resort on Thursday, according to a public relations official.
In a statement, the official confirmed there was a small fire in the kitchen of the Bourbon Steak restaurant at the Dolphin Resort.

Out of an abundance of caution, the lobby and some guest room floors were evacuated, though guests were later let back inside the resort once the situation was clear, the spokesperson explained.
“Pictures make it seem the fire was much larger than it was, as the ventilation system is meant to push smoke outside,” the statement reads. “No damage to hotel and only in the restaurant.”
Meanwhile, the restaurant has been closed until further notice.
