ORLANDO, Fla. – Tropical Storm Gonzalo formed off of the coast of Africa late Thursday evening.
As of 11 p.m. Thursday, Gonzalo had maximum sustained winds of 45 mph and was moving north-northwest at 8 mph.
Gonzalo is expected to impact the Cabo Verde islands through the weekend before dissipating as it lifts north through the eastern Atlantic.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Fay is meandering through the Central Atlantic after regenerating Wednesday.
Fay is expected to dissipate over the weekend.
There are no other areas of interest in the Atlantic.
Hurricane season runs through November.
