Woman struck, killed near Valencia College Lake Nona campus
Lisa Rydell, of Orlando, hit by car on Narcoossee Road
ORLANDO, Fla. – A 54-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night near Valencia College in Lake Nona, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The FHP said Lisa Rydell, of Orlando, died in the crash, which was reported at 7 p.m. on Narcoosee Road at Vickery Place.
Troopers said an 18-year-old Orlando woman was driving a 2016 Mazda CX-7 northbound on Narcoosee Road when Rydell walked directly into her path for an unknown reason.
The front of the car struck Rydell, who was taken to Florida Hospital East, where she was pronounced dead, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash remains under investigation.
