Park to be named for fallen Deputy Scott Pine Pine died in line of duty in 2014
Orange County sheriff's Deputy Jonathan Scott Pine.
WINDERMERE, Fla. – Orange County leaders will break ground Wednesday on a new memorial to a fallen deputy.
Scott Pine Community Park will be located on Ficquette Road in Windermere just south of Winter Garden Vineland Road.
The $2.5 million development will be 19.5 acres and will include two multipurpose fields, one of which will be used by the new Windermere High School football team.
Pine was killed in the line of duty in 2014.
The groundbreaking is scheduled for 4 p.m.
