Amber Alert issued for missing 4-year-old Florida boy canceled

Blanca Castro, nanny of Dominic Caprio, arrested on kidnapping charge

JUPITER, Fla. – An Amber Alert that had been issued for a 4-year-old Florida boy was canceled Friday afternoon.

Florida Department of Law Enforcement officials canceled the alert for Dominic Caprio just before 1:30 p.m.

Dominic had last been seen Thursday in Jupiter.

Police said Dominic's mother, Danielle Caprio, returned home Thursday afternoon and her son and his nanny were gone. Police later arrested the nanny, Blanca Castro, on a charge of kidnapping.

Officials believed Dominic could have been in the company of 60-year-old Elizabeth Caprio and 64-year-old Luis Caprio, police said. Their relationship with the boy has not been released. Authorities said they might have been traveling in a 2013 blue BMW 740i with the Florida license plate number CBD-B47.

The FDLE did not say whether Dominic had been found or if he had been in the company of Elizabeth or Luis Caprio.
