2 held at knifepoint for hours during Orlando home invasion

Police search for intruder

ORLANDO, Fla. – An intruder held two victims at knifepoint for hours during a home invasion in Orlando, police said.

Orlando police said a man who appeared to be under the influence of drugs entered a home in the 5300 block of Botany Court around 9:45 p.m.

The man held two adults at knifepoint for a couple of hours before he left, police said.

One of the victims called 911, saying there was a knock at the door and when the door was opened, the man barged into the house and wouldn't leave.

No one was injured.

The man has not been located. He was described as a black man in his 30s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 250 pounds. He's bald, has a medium-length beard and gold teeth. The man was wearing jeans and a baggy red shirt.

It's not known if the home was targeted.
