Orlando International Airport travelers urged to arrive earlier for flights

Officials recommend getting to airport 3 hours before departure

ORLANDO, Fla. – Travelers flying from Orlando International Airport are being urged to arrive three hours before their flight departs, effectively immediately.

OIA officials issued a news release Monday saying that the busy holiday season, ongoing terminal-wide construction, enhanced Transportation Security Administration screening procedures and near-capacity parking in the Terminal Top and garages A and B have contributed to the need for travelers to arrive earlier.

Generally, the TSA recommends arriving to the airport two hours before departure for domestic flights and three hours before departure for international flights.
