Deputies: Suspect facing murder charge

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – One man was killed and another was injured early Saturday in a double shooting at a Kissimmee bar, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said they were called to La Cantina on Orange Blossom Trail at 2:21 a.m., where they found a man dead after being shot several times. Authorities later identified the victim as 28-year-old Eliezer Gonzalez.

The injured man, who was also found with several gunshot wounds, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is still being treated, deputies said.

Deputies told News 6 three men left the bar as it was closing and got into a fight in the parking lot, when it escalated into shots being fired.

Detectives later determined Josue Perez Carrasquillo, 28, was involved in the shooting, authorities said.

Deputies said Perez Carrasquillo cooperated with the investigation, and was later arrested and charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder in connection with the shooting.

The Sheriff's Office said deputies believe the incident was isolated and that Perez Carrasquillo was the only person involved.

This is the second deadly shooting outside La Cantina in five years.
