MELBOURNE BEACH, Fla. – The Brevard County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of an infant at a Melbourne Beach motel earlier this month, News 6 partner Florida Today reported.
At 12:29 a.m. Dec. 6, someone at the Surfcaster Motel and Restaurant in the 5900 block of State Road A1A called 911 and said a 10-month-old child was dead, according to dispatchers.

Two people were on the phone with the dispatcher, the Sheriff's Office said. The callers were screaming and yelling, dispatchers said.
Dispatchers attempted to talk the adults through CPR for the child and instructed them to check the baby's mouth for food or vomit.
"(They're) saying it's too late" and the baby is "blue," dispatchers said.
Sheriff's spokesman Tod Goodyear said the agency was still investigating the child's death this week. The Sheriff's Office is waiting on autopsy results.
The child's name and gender have not been released by the Sheriff's Office.
