SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A police officer was involved in a crash Thursday afternoon while pursuing an armed robbery suspect, according to the Orlando Police Department.
Officials said members of the fugitive team spotted the suspect, 21-year-old Dequintin Jacorey Michael Johnson, on State Road 434 and as an officer was pursuing him into Seminole County, that officer was involved in a crash with a bystander at Forest City Road and Gateway Drive.
Police said the officer and one other person were hospitalized as a result of the crash, although their injuries were described as being non-life-threatening.
An official from the Altamonte Springs Police Department said the bystander had a green light at the time of the crash and said the collision caused her vehicle to roll and end up in the median.

Sky 6 video from the scene showed a gray sedan with front-end damage and a black Ford flipped on its side in the median. Authorities were seen gathered around the Ford while the sedan was towed away from the scene.
Officers said they are still looking for Johnson. Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
