ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County sheriff's deputies said Monday that a man who disappeared after a six-hour SWAT standoff has turned himself in to authorities.
Deputies said they were called Sunday to a house in the 5700 block of Indian Hill Road, where Kendrick Gerrod Anderson, 21, was barricaded inside.
"We have received word that Kendrick Anderson, has turned himself in to the Orange County jail and is being processed," the Orange County Sheriff's Office tweeted.
Deputies said Anderson and his girlfriend got into a fight, and he held their 8-month-old son as a hostage. Anderson's grandmother was also in the home, officials said.

"Things escalated. They dialed 911. Victim two, which is the mom, grandmother of the child, comes out and tried to stop the dispute that was going on. It appears that the male has a weapon and shots fired. She was not injured, and then he barricaded himself inside with the child,” Orange County sheriff’s spokeswoman Ingrid Tejada-Monforte said.
A five-hour standoff ensued, and a SWAT team entered the home and rescued the child, officials said.
The SWAT team re-entered the house an hour later, but Anderson was nowhere to be found.
No other details have been released.
