Halloween-themed bar puts spooky twist on spirits

Introducing Orlando's new year-round witchy watering hole

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida endures months of stifling summer heat, waiting in vain for the crisp cool down that signifies the start of the spooky season. A new bar in downtown Orlando is fast-forwarding through spring and summer to celebrate the supernatural and summon spirits (the fun kind).

The owners of Joysticks Arcade Lounge are leveling up the themed bar game with Cocktails and Screams. The bar is conjuring up speakeasy-style cocktails with names like, “Hocus Pocus,” “Bone Daddy,” "Monster Mash” and ‘Teen Wolf.”

Cocktails and Screams will be located at 39 W. Pine Street between I-4 and S. Orange Avenue. The grand opening has not been announced yet, but the bar is posting updates on its Facebook page if you’re planning a ghoul’s night or an alternative date.

At least if you get ghosted, you’ll be among friends.

For friends feeling more like Jack Skellington in need of indulging some Christmas curiosity, Frosty’s Christmastime Lounge is only a four-minute walk from the new bar.
