Company to close 200 stores over two years

Although no major stores have joined REI in closing on Black Friday, among the other stores that have decided to remain closed on Thanksgiving this year (besides the already mentioned Costco, GameStop, hhgregg and Sam's Club) are Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond, Cabela's, Crate and Barrel, Hobby Lobby, Home Depot, Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores, Ikea, Lowe's, Marshalls, Nordstrom, Office Depot, OfficeMax, Petco, PetSmart, Pier 1 Imports, Staples and T.J. Maxx.

Around the country, people who work for Bed Bath & Beyond will lose their jobs by the end of the year.

Sixty-three stores, including one in Casselberry, are set to close as part of restructuring because of COVID-19.

In July, the company said it would be closing about 200 stores over two years.

And last month the retailer announced 2,800 jobs would be eliminated to try to tighten up finances.

According to CNN, this is the list of 63 store locations that will close by the end of the year.
