TAMPA, Fla. – Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is planning a lineup of fun and special activities for the Easter holiday weekend. The events will be available to guests with park reservations from this Friday through Sunday. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s Food & Wine Festival is currently underway. Target already planning on no Thanksgiving Day shopping for 2021

Target and other retailers were closed this past Thanksgiving to help reduce crowds and flatten the curve amid the coronavirus pandemic. Target also announced its holiday sales for November and December were up more than 17% from the year before.
Macy’s plans to close 45 more stores this year

Struggling Seminole Towne Center mall could be ‘repurposed’ by next year
SANFORD, Fla. – Visit the Seminole Towne Center and empty stores mirror a trend at shopping centers and malls across the country: some shoppers are simply spent with brick-and mortar. The move came after majority owners of the Seminole Towne Center submitted a proposal which could get the property re-zoned for any number of ideas. “Sanford deserves the best.”According to King, mall owners suggested a number of different options for repurposing the center, including a housing development, education center, medical building and storage facility. News 6 found majority owner Kohan Retail Investment Group bought Seminole Towne Center for roughly $52.3 million right after the coronavirus pandemic began. Target to sell discounted gift cards this weekend
Target’s annual gift card sale kicks off this weekend, but there will be some changes. The biggest change is that you have to be a member of Target’s loyalty program to get the 10% discount. Also, this year’s sale will last two days instead of just one. The store gift cards can be bought Saturday and Sunday in store and online. The deal is only for Target gift cards and the discount can only be used for one transaction.
Amazon sales surge during record-breaking 2020 holiday shopping season

Amazon said small and medium-sized businesses that use the platform took-in nearly $5 billion between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, a 60% jump from last year. The firm says sales grew 22% for the period from Thanksgiving Day and Cyber Monday. Analysts say it is evident that the pandemic is leading more people to shop online.

Lowe’s holiday deals kick off Thursday
Halloween is not even here yet, and Lowe’s is already kicking off its Christmas holiday shopping specials. The home improvement chain is starting its new “Seasons of Savings” sale Thursday. The big-box retailer believes the holiday shopping season this year will be unlike any other because of the pandemic. Instead of a traditional Black Friday sale, Lowe’s will offer daily online-only “cyber steals” starting Thursday through Dec. 2. The home improvement chain is also planning to offer gifts you might not expect from them, to become more of a one-stop shop for the holidays.

Walmart spreading Black Friday deals throughout November
Millions of shoppers look forward to Black Friday deals each year, but the long lines and packed stores won’t be happening in 2020 -- at least not at Walmart. Walmart says it wants to adapt to the needs of its customers, so instead of one deal-filled day after Thanksgiving, there will be events throughout November. The company is calling the event Deals for Days. Walmart says shoppers will also be able to buy online and schedule a contact-free curbside pick up. The retailer says it will limit the number of people inside, stress social distancing and place products on one side of the aisle.

Target sets October date for annual 'Deal Days’ sales event
Target’s “Deal Days” is back. The retailer’s sales event is scheduled for Oct. 13-14. A spokesperson for Target tells business insider the two-day sale includes digital deals on twice as many items compared to the year before. Amazon Prime Day set for mid-October
Amazon Prime Day is set for Oct. 13 and 14, the company announced Monday. Prime Day is Amazon’s version of Christmas in the summer, with sales routinely outpacing Black Friday. Amazon Prime Vice President Jamil Ghani says the company thinks Prime Day will be bigger this year than ever before. Amazon has thrived during the pandemic as consumers purchase more goods online to limit store visits. The company reported $88.9 billion in sales during its latest quarter ending June 30, a 40% jump from the same period a year earlier.
Walmart hiring 20,000 to prepare for online shopping season
Walmart is getting ready to go online with its Black Friday plan by hiring more than 20,000 seasonal workers. Instead, Walmart says they will be a part of its e-commerce fulfillment centers across the country. The company said it expects to see a spike in online shopping this year. For instance, the company says it will spread traditional Black Friday deals throughout the season. Walmart typically kicks off Black Friday with in-store deals on Thanksgiving.
Central Florida Bed Bath & Beyond one of first 63 stores to close
Around the country, people who work for Bed Bath & Beyond will lose their jobs by the end of the year. Sixty-three stores, including one in Casselberry, are set to close as part of restructuring because of COVID-19. In July, the company said it would be closing about 200 stores over two years. According to CNN, this is the list of 63 store locations that will close by the end of the year. Tuesday Morning becomes 5th big retailer to file Chapter 11
NEW YORK Discount goods retailer Tuesday Morning has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, the fifth major retailer to do so since the pandemic. As part of the bankruptcy reorganization, the Dallas-based chain said Wednesday it plans to close approximately 230 of its 687 stores over the summer to focus on high-performing locations and will do so with a phased approach. Tuesday Morning joins J.C. Penney, luxury department store chain Neiman Marcus, J.Crew and Stage Stores in filing for Chapter 11 since the pandemic that forced many stores selling non-essential goods to close resulting in evaporating sales.
Victorias Secret closing 251 stores, while Bath & Body Works to shutter 51 stores

Victoria's Secret currently has just over 1,000 locations in the U.S. and Canada. L Brands also plans to close 51 of its Bath & Body Works stores. Almost all of Victorias Secret and Bath & Body Works locations have been closed since March 17 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Total company sales fell 37% in the quarter that ended May 2.
