Lake County announces new COVID-19 vaccination site

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health announced that all COVID-19 immunization sites in Lake County will be closed on Sunday.

FDOH said there might be an opening at 1 p.m on Monday if vaccines arrive, but will otherwise be closed on Monday as well.

A second shipment of COVID-19 vaccines is expected to arrive early next week. Information will be shared with the public as it becomes available.

Immunization sites will be operating on a first-come, first-serve basis, for residents and non-residents, subject to availability and no appointments will be required.

Those who have been on blood thinners for less than a year or have had recent heart related surgery, take medications for atrial fibrillation, are currently on any cancer treatments, have had cancer within the last six months or take any immunosuppression medication, please bring documentation from the provider stating that you may take the vaccine.
