KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The widow of a man killed while staying at a short-term vacation home in Kissimmee is now suing the homeowner’s association that oversees the neighborhood.

Douglas Kraft, his brother Robert Kraft, and James Puchan were staying at the home in the Indian Point subdivision back in January when they were killed.

The three men were in town from out-of-state to attend a car auction.

Ahmad Bojeh was indicted for murder in the case. He lived next door to the rental property.

The lawsuit against the subdivision accuses the Indian Point Homeowners Association of negligence because it should have been aware of Bojeh’s criminal past and taken steps to prevent harm to visitors.

The owner of the rental property is also named in the suit.

Bojeh was arrested in 2021 on charges of shooting at a person and random cars in a gas station parking lot in Kissimmee. However, court records show Bojeh was later acquitted by reason of insanity. He was also barred from owning a gun.

A competency hearing for Bojeh in the case has been pushed back. A new hearing date has not been announced yet.
