The Orlando Police Department has released the names of the 17-year-old boy and 19-year-old man killed in a crash near the intersection of John Young Parkway and CR Smith Street on Saturday. (WKMG)

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Police Department has released the names of the 17-year-old boy and 19-year-old man killed in a crash near the intersection of John Young Parkway and CR Smith Street on Saturday.

Police said around 10:30 p.m. an officer saw a car that crashed into a tree.

Five people were inside the car.

Investigators said the driver, 17-year-old Sebastian Taboada, of Orlando, and passenger James Damier, 19, of Orlando were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers said three other people were transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Authorities said the preliminary investigation shows the driver was going down John Young Parkway at a high rate of speed with frequent lane changes.

Police said Taboada lost control during a lane change and crashed into an oak tree.
