Cause of fire at church in west Orange County ‘undetermined’ Case is closed
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The cause of the fire at the Agape Assembly Baptist Church in west Orange County on Oct. 25 was undetermined, according to John O’Brien, the press secretary of the Florida Department of Financial Services.
“The case is closed as undetermined,” O’Brien said.
Investigators said the two-alarm fire was an an abandoned building on Hiawassee Road near Silver Star Road.
Heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from one of the buildings, according to investigators.

Hiawassee Road was closed for fire suppression on the night of the fire, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.
