ORLANDO, Fla. – Hawaiian-style donut chain Mochinut is opening its first Florida location in Orlando in April with plans to open at least one more location in the area.
Mochinut is setting up shop for its first Florida location at 7581 W. Sandlake Road.
The restaurant serves mochi donuts — which crosses Japanese mochi dough with an American-style donut and was first made in Hawaii — and Korean-style corn dogs alongside bubble tea drinks.
Mochinut has multiple locations across the U.S. and also in South Korea and Thailand, according to its website.

The Sandlake Road location is the first to open in Florida but will not be the last. A second Orlando location is already planned for 4789 S. Orange Ave. in the same shopping center as Gatlin Hall Brewing.
No official opening dates have been set for either, but a Facebook post said the Sandlake Road location will open in April.
Mochinut is also looking to open locations in Pinellas Park, Tampa, Bradenton, Sarasota and Jacksonville, according to its website.
