Polk County creates hotline for Hurricane Ian debris

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County officials announced a new hotline to help those with questions about debris as a result of Hurricane Ian.

Starting Friday, residents will be able to call the Hurricane Ian debris hotline to get any questions they may have answered.

In a news release, county officials said the Polk County Waste & Recycling Division will not be collecting or disposing of any debris left from Hurricane Ian, and urged residents to separate debris from typical garbage.

The hotline number is 800-375-0844.
