2 arrested following fatal Burger King shooting in Ocala; shooter at large

OCALA, Fla. – A man and a woman were arrested after a fatal shooting outside of an Ocala Burger King restaurant last week, according to the police department.

The shooting took place on Friday in the parking lot of the Burger King located at 2301 E. Silver Springs Blvd.

Police said that Kevin Coleman, 29, and Tulana Joshua, 33, were taken into custody the next day “for their involvement in tampering with evidence.”

In a release, police said that a person was killed in the shooting. The victim was identified on Tuesday as 28-year-old Jose Valliant of Belleview.

However, neither Coleman nor Joshua are suspects in the actual shooting, and so police are still searching for the shooter, investigators explained.

Coleman faces charges of tampering with physical evidence, solicitation to tamper with physical evidence, and two counts of firearm possession by a felon. He is held without bond.

Meanwhile, Joshua faces one count of tampering with physical evidence. She is held on bond of $5,000.
