Leesburg police search for suspect after fatal shooting

LEESBURG, Fla. – Leesburg police are looking for a 19-year-old man accused of fatally shooting someone Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the 1900 block of W. Main Street around 8:45 p.m., where the shooting victim was located on the ground, according to the department. The victim, identified as 37-year-old Lekendre Hall, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Kevin Harrison, 19, was identified as the shooter following multiple witness interviews and the execution of a search warrant where the shooting occurred, police said.

Police said a no-bond arrest warrant was secured for Harrison.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to contact the Leesburg Police Department at 352-787-2121 or their local law enforcement agency.
