Burger King catches fire in Orange County

Store located at 8409 S John Young Parkway

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A Burger King caught fire early Wednesday in Orange County.

Firefighters were called shortly after 1 a.m. to the restaurant, located at 8409 S. John Young Parkway, and said flames were burning 25% of the building.

The restaurant was unoccupied at the time, the fire department said on social media.

News 6 was at the scene and was told by Burger King staff that lightning might have sparked the fire, but that’s not been confirmed by fire officials.

The State Fire Marshal will investigate.
