Dog dies in fire at Seminole County home, Red Cross assists 5 adults

Crews respond to Ford Drive

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A dog died in a fire at a home near Altamonte Springs, according to the Seminole County Fire Department.

Firefighters responded overnight to a residential structure fire along Ford Drive, arriving to find flames contained to around a quarter of the home, a spokesperson for the fire department confirmed Thursday morning.

No injuries were reported and the Red Cross was notified to assist the home’s occupants, the spokesperson said in a statement.

According to the Red Cross, volunteers responding to the home provided emergency assistance to five adults

No other details have been shared.
