Man arrested after 2-year-old missing from Volusia County found safe

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A missing child alert was canceled for a 2-year-old boy who had last been spotted in Volusia County, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Edgewater police say Rowan Renauld was reunited with his mother.

The FDLE announced on Monday that the child — Rowan Renauld — was last seen near the 400 block of North Ridgewood Avenue in Edgewater.

In a release, FDLE officials said that he could be in the company of 29-year-old Robert Renauld.

Edgewater police said Robert Renauld was arrested on kidnapping charges by the North Port Police Department in Sarasota County.

Early Tuesday morning just after midnight, the missing child alert was canceled, and FDLE announced that the child was found safe.
