Orlando man ejected from SUV, killed in crash with tree in Orange County, troopers say

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 42-year-old Orlando man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday night in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened around 11:45 p.m. on Goldenrod Road near Snyder Drive.

According to FHP, the driver of a Cadillac SRX was traveling northbound in the inside lane and for an unknown reason, drove off the road and onto the shoulder. As a result, the SUV collided with a tree and the impact caused the vehicle to overturn several times.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene. The crash report says the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
