WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. – New details have been released in the case of a deadly carjacking in Winter Springs — including the arrest of a fourth person.

Federal prosecutors released new documents on Thursday that identified Dereck Alexis Rodriguez Bonilla, who provided the gun that was used to kill both Katherine Aguasvivas and a tow truck driver in Orange County’s Taft neighborhood the night before the kidnapping.

On April 11, prosecutors say Katherine Aguasvivas left her home in Homestead and drove to Seminole County, where she met Giovany Crespo Hernandez at his Casselberry home. Crespo Hernandez was involved in a Central Florida drug ring, and Aguasvivas was there to pick up $170,000 in drug money from him.

However, prosecutors said Crespo Hernandez conspired with Jordanish Torres-Garcia and Kevin Ocasio Justiniano to rob and carjack Aguasvivas after she retrieved the money.

After leaving Crespo Hernandez’s home, Aguasvivas called her husband and told him that someone had tapped her vehicle while she was driving.

A witness captured a video of Torres-Garcia — clad in a ski mask — getting out of a green Acura and pointing a rifle at Aguasvivas at the intersection of East Lake Drive and Tuskawilla Road near Winter Springs, deputies said.

Newly released photos also show the Green Acura and white Dodge Durango being driven on State Road 417 from Winter Springs to Osceola County.

The Durango was found badly damaged by a fire later that evening in Osceola County construction site.

While Aguasvivas was held at gunpoint, prosecutors said Torres-Garcia and Justiniano poured lighter fluid on Aguasvivas’ body and fired several shots at the Durango before she was lit on fire inside the passenger seat of the vehicle.

Prosecutors state that surveillance video shows Torres-Garcia and Ocasio Justiniano buying lighter fluid from a gas station hours before the carjacking.

The report also states that the green Acura was parked outside the home of the tow truck driver — Juan Garcia — in Taft the night before the carjacking.

Two armed men — one of whom has been positively identified as Torres-Garcia — exited the Acura and fired shots at Juan Garcia, causing his death. Following the shooting, one of the shooters went to Garcia’s truck and got something out of the back.

Torres-Garcia, Ocasio Justiniano, Crespo Hernandez, and Rodriguez Bonilla were charged with the coordinated carjacking, kidnapping, and use of firearms that ended in the death of Katherine Aguasvivas.

If convicted on all counts, U.S. Attorney Roger Handberg said they all face a minimum mandatory sentence of life imprisonment or the death penalty.
