Person of interest sought in Orange County deadly shooting

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The Orange County Sheriff’s Office says it needs the public’s help to identify a person of interest in a shooting early Sunday that killed a 33-year-old man.

Deputies located the victim upon responding around 12:12 a.m. to a shooting reported out of the 7900 block of Sapphire Lane.

The man who was shot, identified as Carlos Daniel Banegas Colindres, 33, was taken to a hospital where he later died.

The sheriff’s office said it had identified one person of interest in the shooting, yet it still sought to know the identity of the man pictured at the top of this story. Anyone who recognizes the man is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-8477.

The sheriff’s office had initially shared a second picture of a different man, who News 6 has confirmed is the one who has already been identified.

No other information has been shared at the time of this report.
