Charges dropped against man accused in shooting at Osceola County motel Theodis James, 39, had charges dropped Tuesday

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A man facing attempted first-degree murder and other charges from a 2023 shooting at an Osceola County motel has had those charges dropped, court records show.
The case was closed against Theodis James, now 39, in Osceola County court on Tuesday.
Dispositions of “no action” were filed regarding the charges he faced of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, use/display of a firearm during a felony, improper exhibition of a dangerous firearm and discharging a firearm in public, according to court records.
