Dr. Jayde George joins Breakfast with Bridgett

ORLANDO, Fla. – Thursday on Breakfast with Bridgett, Dr. Jayde George, family physician with Health First, stopped in with updates on how to keep the cold and flu season at bay this holiday season.

The doctor said the typical season of these illnesses going around lasts from October through March but lingers longer in the Florida climate. That’s why she said it’s not too late to get your flu shot.

George said if you do come in contact with someone with the flu, if you catch it early enough, you can call your doctor for antiviral medicine to lessen the blow to your system.
