There are several ways to register, according to a news release:
Residents can visit any Disaster Recovery Center to register.
You can text DRC along with your Zip Code to 43362 to find the closest DRC.
According to FEMA’s website, the following DRCs are open in Central Florida:
Lake County Ag Center located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares. Hours are 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Residents can also call FEMA at 800-621-3362. Lines are open every day and help is available in most languages. If you use a relay service, captioned telephone or other service, give FEMA your number for that service.
According to the release, homeowners and renters who have already applied for assistance and disagree with FEMA’s decision can appeal within 60 days of the date of the decision letter.
FEMA might need more information to continue processing your application. To learn more about how to submit an appeal, go to How to Appeal FEMA’s Decision at FEMA.gov.
