Both students were charged with possession of a firearm on a school campus. Cesalien was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Cesalien put the gun in the teen girl’s backpack in fear of being searched, according to the arrest affidavit. The teen girl was not aware of what was in her backpack but when she found out, she was too scared to tell a school employee.
