OCOEE, Fla. – Diedre Anderson holds back tears as she reflects on the death of her father, Gregory Reed, a kind and soft-spoken man whose life was tragically cut short.
The 60-year-old Army veteran was shot and killed in a road rage incident while leaving a BP Circle K gas station at Clark and Silver Star roads in Ocoee back in November 2023.

Investigators report that Reed was on his way home when he encountered a suspect in a Mercedes, who crossed paths with Reed’s grey Toyota Camry. Despite having video evidence of the incident, prosecutors claim it is unclear who fired the fatal shot.
As a result, 27-year-old Kendrick Anderson was arrested but will not face any charges.

Reed’s family is left in shock over the decision.
“There’s evidence that you and another person were in the car when it discharged; one of you did it,” Diedre Anderson told News 6.
The family sought clarity from the State Attorney’s Office regarding the lack of a murder charge.
This morning, News 6 received the final report on the case. The report indicates that prosecutors interviewed several witnesses, whose accounts were mostly consistent.
However, one witness admitted he could not determine the shooter’s gender, assuming it was male based on prior yelling before the shooting. The report concluded that there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was the shooter.
“It was a lot of emotions all at once, but mostly heartbroken, because he is gone and there is no justice,” Diedre Anderson expressed.
