ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A driver who fled from a traffic stop in Altamonte Springs on Wednesday later crashed into a building in Orange County, according to police.

Altamonte Springs police said they pulled over a vehicle being driven by a woman just before 11 a.m., but the driver fled.

According to police, they did not pursue the vehicle, but less than a mile away, the car crashed into a building on Forest City Road in the Lockhart neighborhood area in Orange County.

The woman, whose name was not released, was taken into custody after being taken to the hospital.

The building was not occupied at the time and no other injuries were reported.
