PALM COAST, Fla. – A possible lightning strike could be to blame for sparking a fire at a clubhouse at a Palm Coast apartment complex.
The fire department was dispatched Sunday to Pine Lake Apartments after residents reported smoke coming from the clubhouse during an afternoon thunderstorm.
Residents said they saw lightning strike the building just before the fire started, officials said.
When crews arrived, they found the roof fully involved in flames, with significant damage to the interior roof structure.
