ORANGE CITY, Fla. – Getting into Blue Spring State Park now takes one extra step.
Starting Wednesday, all visitors — including Florida State Parks annual passholders, pedestrians and cyclists — must have a reservation to enter the park.

The advanced reservation window is already open, and reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance online, and same-day reservations are available until the daily limit is reached.
There is no additional fee to make a reservation — visitors simply pay the standard park entry fee online when booking.
Florida State Parks says the new program is designed to reduce overcrowding and improve the overall visitor experience. Blue Spring is one of four parks currently using the day-use reservation system, along with Wekiwa Springs State Park, Rainbow Springs State Park and Henderson Beach State Park.
What to bring
When arriving at the park, visitors must present their reservation receipt — either digital or printed — which includes a barcode. Annual passholders must also bring their annual pass. A day-use reservation guarantees one entry during park hours, though re-entry is based on available space and is not guaranteed.
Refunds, cancellations, campers
Reservations that are canceled will receive a full refund. No-shows are non-refundable.
Campers are not affected by the change — an existing camping reservation serves as park entry. For those wishing to purchase an annual pass in person, the ranger station is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to sunset, excluding holidays.
