ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida will experience dangerous heat this weekend and Orange County is reminding people that if they need to cool down, they have locations across the county, and LYNX buses will take you there for free.
Highs this weekend are expected to be around 97 degrees, and with the heat index, it could feel even hotter.

“Feels-like” temperatures on Friday reached into the triple digits, topping out at around 110 degrees.
The county updated its extreme heat information on the government website with cooling locations on Friday, designated as public spaces with air conditioning or recreational water features like splashpads. They include parks with indoor recreational centers, public libraries, and community centers.
The county website also says LYNX is offering free rides to people going to those locations.
