Project underway to revamp Frank Rendon Park in Daytona Beach Shores after hurricane damage

Project expected to take 6 months to complete

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, Fla. – A popular Volusia County park is closing for a big repair and improvement project.

Frank Rendon Park in Daytona Beach Shores was damaged during hurricanes Ian and Nicole.

The project includes building a new sea wall along with adding a new ADA accessible dune walkover and rebuilding storm-damaged pavilions.

The project is expected to take six months with all the work being done to comply with FEMA’s reimbursement criteria.
