Here’s when H Mart in Orlando will finally open

Grand opening set for Sept. 25

ORLANDO, Fla. – The long-awaited Asian supermarket chain, H Mart, has officially set a grand opening date for its Orlando-area location.

H Mart announced on Tuesday that “the wait is finally over,” and the grand opening would be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25. The store is located at 7501 W Colonial Drive.

According to its website, H Mart is the largest Asian supermarket chain in the U.S. and first opened in 1982 in New York. Orlando’s grand opening marks the first Florida location for the chain.

The store will feature a food hall with the following vendors:

  • Oh K-Dog & Egg Toast: Korean corn dogs
  • Myung Ga: Korean BBQ and tofu soup
  • JAWS Topokki: Korean street food
  • U Chun: Korean cold noodles and tofu soup
  • Chidon: Japanese fried cutlet
  • Paik’s Noodles: Korean/Chinese cuisine

This Orlando location will mark one of the largest locations of the chain at about 183,000 square feet in size.

Orlando has several Asian supermarkets along Colonial Drive, including Mei’s Supermarket in Union Park, iFresh Supermarket at East Colonial Drive and Bumby Avenue, Lotte Market on West Colonial Drive and John Young Parkway, and Enson Market on West Colonial near Kirkman Road.
