DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – With Biketoberfest now in full swing, thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts are roaring through Daytona Beach, filling Main Street, packing local businesses, and putting safety front and center.
The 33rd annual event is expected to draw riders from across the country through the weekend, bringing a major economic boost to Volusia County.

Police say they’re prepared for the crowds, with extra patrols, traffic monitors, and new security cameras lining Main Street.
“We have cameras out on Main Street, at least six of them right outside our door,” said business owner Alayna Kids, who runs a shop downtown. “They revolve around, which is really nice. The safest spot on Main Street is us.”
City leaders and the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau are also promoting the Biketoberfest app and social media pages, giving riders real-time updates on parking, road closures, and safety information.
“We’ve engaged several social media influencers who are experts in the motorcycle world,” said Lori Campbell Baker, executive director of the Daytona Beach Area CVB. “They’re in town sharing their experiences and showcasing what Daytona Beach has to offer.”
For many riders, Biketoberfest is about more than bikes, it’s about community.
“The motorcycle world keeps evolving,” said Kenny Corbitt, who rode down from Tennessee. “I grew up when it was Harley or nothing, but now it’s all about the ride.”

“We love the camaraderie,” added local rider Matt Boghos. “It’s a historic event, we make it what it is.”
“And it’s Florida, everybody loves Florida,” said Megan Thompson, another local rider.
Some business owners say the annual crowds have them thinking about making Daytona Beach their permanent base.
“Daytona is just a great place all around,” said Steve Ventre, who runs a pop-up shop during the event. “I love the ocean, I’d love to be here full-time.”
City officials are reminding everyone to enjoy responsibly, weapons, including guns, are prohibited within the event zone, and to use extra caution on local roads.
From local shops to long-time riders, the message is the same: enjoy the ride, stay safe, and keep Daytona Beach a place everyone can return to year after year.
