BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A plane made an emergency landing on a Brevard County road Thursday afternoon after it experienced engine failure, according to fire rescue.
The plane landed on Challenger Memorial Parkway, or FL-407, between I-95 and State Road 528.
Brevard County Fire Rescue said one person was on board and there were no injuries.
What appeared to be a single-engine, fixed-wing aircraft was later towed to the hangars at the rear of Ralph Poppel Airport, where flight training is conducted.
The tow was escorted by the Florida Highway Patrol and other official vehicles, temporarily blocking traffic in several directions as it moved down the road.
No other details have been released.
