APOPKA, Fla. – An Apopka police officer was involved in a two-vehicle crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 11:45 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Clarcona Road and Cleveland Street in Apopka.

Apopka police said the officer, who was driving an Apopka PD-marked Ford Explorer, was transported to the hospital as a precaution and was released.
Troopers said the driver of the Hyundai Genesis, a 19-year-old man from Apopka, was not transported to a hospital and remained at the scene.
Details on what led up to the crash were not immediately given.
