10-year-old boy missing from Lake Panasoffkee in Sumter County found safe, deputies say

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said a 10-year-old boy who disappeared on Monday morning has been “located safe.”
Deputies said Michael Ewell was last seen at 6 a.m. Monday at his home on County Road 426E in Lake Panasofkee. That’s off North County Road 470, west of I-75.
The sheriff’s office then said around 12:30 p.m. that he had been found safe, but did not provide any additional information.
