Brush fire closes SR-40 in Volusia County, officials say Road closed near Still Road

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A more than 60-acre brush fire has closed down a busy roadway in Volusia County on Tuesday evening, officials said.
According to the Volusia County Professional Firefighters Association, S.R. 40 is closed “east of 17 by Still road” until further notice.
A brush fire burns in Volusia County (Volusia County Professional Firefighters Association) Officials said they were joined by the Florida Forest Service and firefighters from Deland and Flagler County “for instant stabilization and structure protection.”
Firefighters advise residents and motorists to be aware of smoke in the area.
