Juvenile arrested after homes, vehicles shot up in Summerwell Avian Pointe subdivision in Apopka, police say

APOPKA, Fla. – A juvenile was arrested after gunshots were fired in an Apopka subdivision, police said.

Officers responded around 11 a.m. Friday to a report of a shooting without injuries in the Summerwell Avian Pointe subdivision, Apopka police said.

When they arrived, officers said they found bullet holes in homes and unoccupied vehicles in the area.

No injuries were reported.

One juvenile was taken into custody and faces charges of shooting into or throwing deadly missiles into dwellings, vehicles or public or private buildings; aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill; firing a weapon in public or on residential property; and unlawful possession of a firearm by a person under 18 years of age, according to police.

The age of the juvenile who was arrested has not been released.

An investigation is ongoing.

No other details have been released by police.
