ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orange County man faces multiple charges after deputies busted a large house party where dozens of minors, drugs, alcohol, and a firearm were present, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

Around 10:40 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a home on Geranium Avenue after a report of loud music and suspected underage drinking.

Upon arrival, deputies encountered three or four juveniles on the front porch who were uncooperative. Deputies smelled marijuana and saw a glass bong containing a “green leafy substance”. David Ramos, 46, answered the door and said he was the homeowner hosting a party for his high school-aged son, according to the arrest affidavit.

Ramos told deputies the bong was his and that there was marijuana inside the house. Deputies said he was repeatedly told to identify himself, but was uncooperative. Deputies also said a juvenile female uttered that she was at the house to get “high” and admitted to being “high”.

At one point, deputies heard a commotion at the back of the house and saw 10 to 15 juveniles fleeing and jumping over a fence. During a protective sweep, deputies said Ramos became verbally aggressive and physically resisted deputies when they tried to secure him, the affidavit states.

During the sweep, deputies found 25 to 35 minors inside the home along with rolling papers, trays, liquor shot bottles, cups with alcohol residue, and drug paraphernalia. During a search warrant, deputies uncovered 3.27 grams of cocaine, 83.95 grams of cannabis, a Smith and Wesson semi-automatic firearm, nicotine and THC vapes, and 9mm ammunition, the affidavit states.

Ramos was booked into the Orange County jail and charged with possession of cocaine, battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer with violence, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and hosting an open house party.
