ORLANDO, Fla. – Part of John Young Parkway was shut down around the Orange County Jail because of police activity on Wednesday afternoon.
Orlando police say officers responded to a domestic-related shooting in the area of South John Young Parkway and Vision Boulevard, near the jail.
Police say an unrelated individual was shot during the incident. That person was taken to an area hospital.
Anthony Myles, 23, was arrested following the shooting.

According to an arrest affidavit, Myles followed and shot at two people while they were driving. One victim reported that Myles attempted to strike their vehicle multiple times and pointed a firearm at them. Myles fired three rounds through their windshield as they tried to flee toward the jail.
The second victim stated that Myles had been repeatedly calling her and was angry about their whereabouts. She said Myles began chasing them and shooting from his vehicle, prompting her to call police for help, police said.
After his arrest, police said Myles admitted to shooting and told detectives that he was angry and let his emotions get the best of him.
Myles faces multiple charges, including aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm, and shooting from a vehicle. He appeared in court on Thursday and is being held on no bond. His next hearing is set for Feb. 10.
News 6’s Jayna Manohalal was at the jail on Wednesday and said there were two vehicles with damage on jail property, including what appeared to be bullet holes.
A bail bonds business owner said she saw two vehicles drive into the Orange County jail parking lot, followed by a swarm of Orlando police vehicles.
“I thought I heard something, it could have been the sally port door or something,” said Terri Von Achen with Baron Bail Bonds. “And the next thing I know, it was full cops around here, and I didn’t know what happened at first, so we kind of stayed in our office.”
