Marion County fire extinguished by crews in 16 minutes, says Marion County Fire Rescue

Crews responded at 7:16 p.m. Saturday to SE 31st Place in Summerfield

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Quick acting crews in Marion County attacked and brought a structure fire under control in just 16 minutes Saturday night, according to Marion County Fire Rescue.

Leaders say the fire was on SE 31st Place in Summerfield, and crews were called at 7:15 p.m. Saturday. Photos show flames coming through the roof as firefighters began their attack.

Officials say Marion County Fire Rescue Station 30 arrived first at 7:16 p.m., before other crews arrived to help. Crews say they entered through the garage door while firefighters searched the home, but no one was inside. The fire was under control by 7:31 p.m.

No one was hurt, officials say. The cause is under investigation.
